A mixed bag of goods changed hands on Iran Mercantile Exchange
Tehran (ISNA) – Within the week ending on the 8th of January, the IME witnessed trading of 440,986 tonnes of various commodities worth more than 203 million USD.
According to a report by the IME’s international affairs and PR, the exchange sold on its mineral and industrial trading floor 107,895 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 71 million USD, including 100,670 tonnes of steel, 840 tonnes of copper, 5,700 tonnes of aluminum, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 15 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 800 tonnes of coke and 3 kg of gold bars.
Moreover, on both domestic and export rings of the IME’s oil and petrochemical trading floor, customers purchased 330,381 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 131 million USD. Commodities sold on this floor included 64,760 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 118,909 tonnes of bitumen, 57,672 tonnes of polymeric products, 33,282 tonnes of chemicals, 16,000 tonnes of lube cut, 2,574 tonnes of base oil, 50 tonnes of argon and 38,500 tonnes of sulfur.
It’s worth noting that the IME also traded 2,710 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
