Tehran (ISNA) – Within the week ending on 30th of December, the exchange witnessed trades of 996,450 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 443 million USD, showing 55 and 39 percent of increase respectively in volume and value of trades.
According to a report by the IME’s international affairs and PR the exchange sold 445,660 tonnes of mineral and industrial goods with a total value of more than 253 million USD, which included 436,370 tonnes of steel, 1,420 tonnes of copper, 7,535 tonnes of aluminum, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 200 tonnes of cast iron and 10 kg of gold bars.
On both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, the IME traded 224,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 193,995 tonnes of bitumen, 57,564 tonnes of polymeric products, 17,144 tonnes of chemicals, 41,500 tonnes of lube cut, 3,000 tonnes of slop wax, 3,097 tonnes of base oil and 8,900 tonnes of sulfur, which added up to 549,620 tonnes of commodities altogether worth more than 190 million USD.
Also, 1,170 tonnes of various types of goods changed hands on the IME’s side market.
